Unified Color debuts HDR PhotoStudio for Mac

Unified Color has announced that HDR PhotoStudio is now available for the Mac. The software uses the company’s Beyond RGB color model for the creation and editing of high dynamic range images. For editing the app uses 32-bit floating point technology, and tools for altering brightness, contrast, sharpness, and shadow/highlight balance. Brightness and contrast tweaks are said to leave color tones unaffected.
Other features include three different display themes to choose from, and a status bar with controls for color profiles, display brightness and zoom. Format support ranges from JPEG to bitmaps and 8-, 16-, or 32-bit TIFF files. When importing, the program accepts all RAW formats from popular digital cameras.
HDR PhotoStudio requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher, along with 2GB of RAM and a 2.5GHz dual-core processor. The software can be bought from the company’s website for $150.
