27-inch iMac shipping time falls to two weeks
Apple has lowered shipping times on its 27-inch iMac models back down to two weeks, while Native Instruments has announced that its Traktor Kontrol X1 is now available
Estimated shipping times on the 27-inch iMac have dropped down to two weeks. Just over a week ago the shipping times were pushed out by a week for unknown reasons, but it was assumed Apple was addressing issues with the displays. Since the introduction of the 27-inch iMac, there have been complaints about flickering displays and, more recently, yellow tint issues. The quicker shipping time runs contrary to rumours that production of the 27-inch iMac is set to temporarily halt, and could indicate that a proper solution for the issues has been found.
Native Instruments has announced that the Traktor Kontrol X1 is now available for purchase. The controller, which is based on the Traktor DJ platform, was designed to be used with timecode-controlled configurations including hardware mixers and turntables. Users can control a variety of parameters with the device's built-in knobs, buttons, and encoders. The default control layout is mapped for Traktor, although users an reconfigure the assignments to suit personal preferences. The X1 is available at a suggested retail price of $229 and is currently sold out in NI's online store due to high demand.
