updated 09:45 pm EST, Mon February 1, 2010

Update offers new palette system, code editor

The Escapers has announced that an update to its web design software, Flux 2, is now out of beta development. The latest version offers improved support for importing websites, while overall performance has been enhanced. A new palette system has been added to the simplified interface, bringing all of the palettes into a common area.

Version 2.0 now allows content to be edited through FTP without requiring users to download the pages beforehand. Elements such as DIV, PARAM, and CSS Rules can be edited in the Inspector interface. The software also supports syntax highlighting for HTML and CSS, with auto-completion and line numbering.

Flux 2 is now available directly from the company for ₤50 (~$80 USD), while registered users of v1.x can download the update for free.
