NEC intros MultiSync PA Series LCD monitors

NEC on Monday said it will release a new MultiSync PA Series monitor range with the 24-inch MultiSync PA241W as the first product. The series will replace the current MultiSync 90 displays and is meant for professional graphic designers or other professionals that need accurate color reproduction. It reaches 102 percent coverage of the NTSC color space and 99.3 percent of Adobe RGB, which is nearly three quarters better than the outgoing model.

It's also a third smaller than its predecessor and has a new cable management setup. 10-bit DisplayPort input and a USB hub are just as new.

The monitor has a 1920x1200 native resolution, a 10-bit IPS LCD panel and a 14-bit color lookup table. It has 360 cd/mē brightness and a 1,000:1 static contrast ratio. Besides DisplayPort, an HDCP-compliant DVI-D input is an option for conventional digital video. The monitor is mounted on a tilting and swiveling height-adjustable stand.

The MultiSync PA241W is now shipping, priced at $1,079, with more models in the range coming throughout the year.
