PCsync 6 enables file sharing between Windows and Mac

updated 12:55 pm EST, Wed January 27, 2010

Adds Mac Migration Wizard

Laplink has released PCsync 6, a Windows 7 version of its file transfer and sync application, with Mac support. The software allows users to sync files with other computers or external drives, and to schedule automatic sync jobs that run daily. The main new feature in v6 is the Mac Migration Wizard, adding the ability to move all documents or forms of media from a PC to a Mac, or the other way around.

Other features include SpeedSync technology, which helps improve file sync speed by only transferring portions of a file that have changed. Transfers can be handled via wired or wireless LAN networks, or else USB 2.0 cables.

PCsync supports most Windows operating systems and is priced at $40 for a single-user license.
