My Living Desktop 4.6 adds new scenes, improvements

updated 11:10 pm EST, Tue January 26, 2010

Moving scenes increased to 45

Amuse has launched My Living Desktop 4.6, an update to its video desktop and screensaver utility. The app is designed to replace standard desktops with various moving images and other content such as built-in sound effects and videos. The latest version adds five new moving scenes to choose from, bringing the total list up to 45. Users can also choose a different still image to display on the secondary screen.

The update offers additional support for Apple’s Snow Leopard operating system, a new function for hiding all of the desktop icons, and numerous performance improvements. Users can also now change the program icon in the menu bar.

My Living Desktop 4.6 supports Mac OS X 10.5 or higher and is priced at $20 for current users looking to upgrade. For new users, the app costs $35 for a single licence or $50 for a family pack of five licenses.

    iTunes Visuals Screensaver

All I want is a screensaver module that can display iTunes visuals. Is that so hard to implement?

    Real Screensaver

If you want a real screensaver, just set your SysPref's. to have the display turn off after X-minutes. Anything else isn't really saving your screen.
