San Francisco SuperMeet to take place in Feb
This year's San Francisco SuperMeet has been organized and will take place in February, while the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group has scheduled its first meeting of the year.
The agenda for the ninth annual San Francisco SuperMeet has been set. The event will take place February 5th at the UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center, and provide Final Cut users with an opportunity to meet with other video editors, while also learning from several industry experts. Doors will open at 3:30PM with a Digital Showcase, and additional presentations will be held between 7PM and 11PM. Tickets can be bought online for $15 or at the door for $20; students are eligible for a special discount price of $10. Featured speakers will include Joe Bogacz of Canon, Alexandre Domingue of Post-Moderne, Jon Thorn of AJA, Apple Motion expert Mark Spencer and others.
First LAFCPUG meeting of 2010 scheduled for Jan. 27th
The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group has announced that its first meeting of the year will take place at 6:45PM on January 27th, in the Gallery Theater. The theme of the gathering is "Plug-ins and More Night," with information on some of the newest and best plug-ins for Final Cut Pro and Motion. Several speakers have been lined up, including Bruce Gee of GeeThree plug-ins, who will show off PhotoMotion, Fusion Factory and SlickFX. Admission is $5 and the doors will open at 6PM.
