Provides information on the car's health
CarMD.com has announced its CarMD Handheld Tester and Mac/PC Software System is now available for Apple’s latest Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard operating system. The package works as an automotive diagnostic tool that links a vehicle’s on-board computer to a Mac, helping users obtain diagnostic information which is utilized to estimate repair costs. Support is said to be offered for all cars, SUVs and minivans manufactured in the U.S from the year 1996 to the present date.
Additional features include color-coded LEDs that display either yellow, green, or red colors depending on the current 'health' of the car, and access to an online database for additional car diagnostic information.
The CarMD Handheld Tester and Mac/PC Software System supports Mac OS X 10.4.4 or higher and is available from the company’s website for $100.

Works with...
According to the web site, CarMD works with all cars "Manufactured for use in the U.S.", not all American made cars. It uses the OBD2 connection which is standard for foreign and domestic in the U.S.
