New version adds templates, address book
Marware has launched an update of its project management software, Project X 2.0. The app uses a task-based organization scheme, and has 55 preset progress reports for expenses, costs, incomes and resource allocation. It can also track subprojects, and create milestone goals that help measure advancement.
Version 2.0 adds a Flow view -- an expanded, editable view of a project -- and a Mail view, which builds e-mail into the program. Project X now integrates with iChat, Mail, Spotlight and iCal, and has also been given a new address book, new project templates and a new template chooser. Miscellaneous changes include performance enhancements and an optional web app, which can be used to submit cost, hours and task information in a group setting.
Project X 2.0 requires Mac OS X 10.6.2 or higher. It is now available for $130.
