HTC Bravo spotted with optical touchpad

Wireless provider T-Mobile has plans to release a number of new smartphones to help it gain market share in the US, with the HTC Bravo smartphone chief among them, according to a Wednesday MobileNews report. The first live photo of the handset was also leaked out. While the phone is said to have many similarities to Google's Nexus One, it will have unique features that include an optical trackpad, multi-touch support, and the Sense user interface.

By the time it is released later this year, the Bravo will likely be known by a different name, which remains unknown at this time. It is believed to ship with the latest Android build, whether it happens to be 2.1 or newer at the time, and will share the Nexus One's 3.7-inch screen and 5-megapixel camera with autofocus.

T-Mobile may offer the Bravo for no money down, but tied to a contract that will cost about $57 per month.
