Ultimate Ears intros single-ear pro monitor

For the second day in a row, Logitech's Ultimate Ears pro audio brand has introduce a new set of monitor-grade earphones, with the Ultimate Ears 1 Pro Custom Monitor. Meant for in-studio recording and live stage performances, the single in-ear headphones let wearers hear external sounds along with the audio feeds. The single headphone has four speakers, with two devoted to reproducing the right channel and the other two for the left channel.

Each seat of 1 Pro monitors is custom designed for the wearer's ear, and sports a single cable with clip. The unit has a dual-armature and dual bore speaker system that includes a passive crossover circuit for a balanced sound delivery. The 1 Pro is compatible with wireless transmission systems, but can be plugged into a gold-plated 3.5mm headphone jack.

Input sensitivity of the 1 Pros is rated at 101.4dB @ 1 kHz, while frequency response is set at between 20Hz and 18kHz. Their noise isolation is said to be -26dB, while efficiency is 117dB @ 1mW.

The Ultimate Ears 1 Pro Custom Monitor ship to stores in February, priced at $449. They include a small, portable carrying case, larger engraved carrying case and a cleaning tool.
