Updates include a variety of bug fixes
Apple on Tuesday released updates to its professional audio utilities, Logic Pro and Main Stage. Logic Pro 9.1 is claimed to improve overall stability with a variety of bug fixes, while enabling users to run in 64-bit mode. Features still limited to 32-bit mode include FireWire video streaming, Digital Cinema Desktop, AAF import and export, EuCon control surface support, conversion to MP3, REX and ReWire support, and Logic Node processing, among others.
Main Stage 2.1 also allows users to run in 64-bit native mode, while extending 64-bit support to Audio Unit plug-ins. The update also improves compatibility with Main Stage 1.x documents and recordings with the Loopback plug-in, while multiple Playback plug-ins in the same group will now sync reliably.
Logic Pro 9.1 and Main Stage 2.1 are both available from Apple's Support site or through the Software Update control panel.
