Increases interface range
Ten One Design has released Inklet, a new Mac application for illustrators. The software simulates the functions of a drawing tablet via a MacBook trackpad, in theory eliminating the need for separate hardware. It runs in the background and is invoked with a hotkey, which brings up an overlay that can be moved and scaled using multi-touch gestures.
The tool currently supports Photoshop and several other drawing programs, and can be controlled using either a finger or a Pogo Sketch stylus. The latter allows a brush to become pressure-sensitive, making lines harder with extra force. Integration with Mac OS X's handwriting recognition allows users to scribble text that can be copied into a text editor.
Inklet costs $25 solo, or $35 when bundled with the Sketch; a free demo is also available. Users must have Mac OS X Snow Leopard, and a MacBook with a multi-touch trackpad. These include silver unibody MacBooks with black keys, or the absolute latest white model.

tablet
I'd be excited if the possible tablet did something like this -- docked to your Mac, it would become a large drawing tablet.
