Chargepod V2 charges seven items simultaneously

Callpod has introduced a new multi-device charger and two Bluetooth headsets. The Chargepod V2 is said to be the world’s first multi-device charger and docking system for PC and Mac laptops, according to the company. It offers three different sides, each with various connections, and is capable of simultaneously charging up to seven products. The first side integrates a computer connection, while the second can charge up to three small devices. The third side provides a 3-port USB hub.

The company's new Bluetooth headsets include the Onyx and Vetro. Onyx features dual microphones and background-noise suppression technology. It offers an internal amplifier claimed to extend the maximum range out to 164-feet, while users can connect directly with another Callpod Bluetooth headset for two-way push-to-talk communication across an area of up to 84,000 square feet. The headset supports multiple device pairing and can connect with a Mac for simultaneous Skype and mobile phone conversations. On a full charge, it provides up to five hours of continuous talk time or a maximum of 200 hours of standby time.

The Vetro Bluetooth headset offers the same features found in the Onyx, but with a clear polycarbonate casing. The package includes adapters for vehicles and AC outlets, along with a USB cable.

Both headsets are planned for release in February of 2010 and priced at $70 for the Onyx or $100 for Vetro. The Chargepod V2 won’t be available until March of this year for $200.
