Automatic file storage and encryption

Lexar has debuted two new flash-based USB drives, the Echo SE and ZE. Both include Echo backup software, and support Mac and Windows systems. Some features include targeted backup, allowing users to specify which files are copied, and the option of keeping both old and new versions of a file. To protect data, 128-bit AES encryption can be used.

The Echo SE is capable of reading as fast as 28MBps, and writing at 10MBps. It comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions, and has a five-year warranty. The ZE is a more compact drive, available in just 8GB, 16GB and 32GB sizes and paired a two-year limited warranty. Each of the drives is scheduled for release in February.
