updated 01:45 pm EST, Thu January 7, 2010

Over 15 new products

Macally has launched a slew of new products in concert with the ongoing CES expo. The first is the AmpTune, a stereo speaker system for iPods and iPhones that offers a choice of vertical or horizontal docking. Handhelds charge while docked. The FMport is a full-channel FM transmitter for iPods and iPhones that includes a remote control. The PowerGo is a three-in-one battery charger, with an internal battery that takes power from AC, car or USB sources then transfers it to Apple devices via USB.

The mMouse is a height-adjustable mouse with a retractable USB cable. It works with Mac OS X 10.2.8 through Mac OS X 10.5.7. The mMouseBT is also height-adjustable, but uses Bluetooth and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher.

The iShockX is Macally's new dual-shock feedback gamepad for the Mac. The pad has 12 main buttons, a D-pad, two analog sticks, a Turbo Fire button and a mode selector. Users must have Mac OS X 10.4 or higher and a free USB post.

The Transcable is a USB cable that supports computer-to-computer transfer, at 16MBps. Transfers between Macs and/or PCs are made possible using embedded EasySuite and EasyMacCopy software.

The TuneFan is a 2.1-channel stereo system with a subwoofer and notebook cooling fans that can be wall-powered for better performance, or run off USB for portability. It requires Mac OS X 10.1.

Some other products announced but missing some details include the TunePalPro, a set of stereo earbuds with a remote control; the Minibud, a mini-earbud with a retractable cord; and the 1-port Micro CLA, a car-port charger for iPods and iPhones. Also new are the 2-port USB Travel Charger, for Apple handhelds; the Antibacterial iPhone Overlay Film; the ReSyncCable, which charges and syncs devices simultaneously; and lastly the MegaCam, a two-megapixel USB webcam with a microphone.

The TuneFan costs $100 and the Transcable is $30. Both are shipping now. The remainder of the products are as yet unpriced but are expected to ship soon.
