Content aware image scaling comes to the iPhone
Colida offers a special buy two get one free promotion on several Mac games, while Savory Software prepares to release image scaling iPhone app.
Colida is currently offering a special Christmas promotion on several of their Mac games. If customers purchase two qualifying games before December 25th, they will automatically be entitled to a free third game. The deal applies to The Secrets of Da Vinci, Return to Mysterious Island, Cleopatra: a Queen's Destiny, Destination: Treasure Island, Secret of the Lost Cavern and Still Life 2. Each of the games are Universal applications and will run on Mac computers with either Intel or PowerPC G5 processors. The games all cost $30 and are available as downloads from Coladia's website.
Liquid Scale iPhone app due in January.
A new content-aware photo application is currently in development for the iPhone and iPod touch. Liquid Scale will allow users to resize pictures, without deforming or cropping the content, by detecting the most important parts of an image. The application can automatically detect important details, or users can manually define areas they want to persevere. Savoy Software's website includes several examples of how this technology can be used, along with a video of the app in action. Liquid Scale is nearing completion and is anticipated to be released in January 2010.
