Drum-focused sets expand Live samples

Ableton has released two free Live Packs as a holiday promotion. The software expands the number of samples in the company's Live 8 production suite, primarily in terms of drum and beat-oriented samples from drummer K.J. Sawka. The first pack, Mad Beatz, is intended for drum-and-bass, dubstep and breakbeat tracks. Aside from live drum recordings, it includes electronic percussion, basslines and keyboards.

The second pack is a complete drum-and-bass song from Sawka's Undefined Connectivity album, called "Void of Truth." The file is a 103MB download, and nominally requires Live 8, but is also compatible with Live Intro and Live Lite. The Mad Beatz pack is 316MB and restricted to Live 8.1 or later.
