Missing Sync for Android 1.1 beta supports Android 2.0

updated 09:30 am EST, Fri December 18, 2009

Allows Droid sync

Mark/Space has posted a v1.1 Mac beta of The Missing Sync for Android. Whereas the official v1.0 release only supports Android 1.5 and 1.6 devices, like the myTouch 3G, v1.1 adds tentative support for Android 2.0 phones, namely the Motorola Droid. Finished v1.1 software is expected soon.

The beta lets users sync contacts via Wi-Fi, but limits the transfer of music, video, photos and other files to USB. Future versions of the program should be able to sync bookmarks, calendars, notes and call and texting histories. Mac OS X 10.5.6 is required, along with iTunes 7.4 and iPhoto 5.0.
