Over 200 roofing materials included

BeLight has launched an update to its home and interior design software, Live Interior 3D 2.3. The app offers 2D drawing tools for creating floor plans, and 3D objects which can be used in office, house and apartment walkthroughs. Version 2.3 adds a new roof creation feature with over 200 materials, and an assistant which inserts roofs automatically. Also present are new foundation thickness and elevation parameters.

Other features include Quick Look support for 3D projects, a new flyaround tool for viewing entire scenes, and a function which directly replaces 3D objects with ones in the library. Several fixes and improvements have been made as well, for instance enhancing the lighting of objects in niches, and dealing with a bug that caused door openings not to appear.

Live Interior 3D 2.3 requires Mac OS X 10.4, and is a free upgrade for all users running v2.0 or later. The company is currently offering a 30 percent discount for new users until December 28th, making the Standard version $35 and the Pro version $90, in contrast with normal prices of $50 and $130.
