App ads bit.iy account, landscape composing
TweetDeck has launched the first major update to its Twitter app, TweetDeck for iPhone. The app posts and tracks tweets from a user's iPhone or iPod touch, with options to create and watch user-specified groups. The app handles multiple accounts and syncs TweetDeck columns between a user's desktop and iPhone. It supports Twitpic, YFrog and various URL shorteners.
For iPhone 3GS owners, v1.1.2 supports video capture and upload functions, including background uploading. It also supports Facebook, sending tweets as status updates and cross-posting both text and visual media to Twitter and Facebook. The update also adds a bit.ly account and landscape composing.
TweetDeck works with iPhone OS 2.2.1 or higher. The update is now available on the iTunes App Store free of charge.
