Snippets engine includes TextMate syntax support

MacRabbit has released Espresso 1.1, the newest version of its editing tool for web developers. The software provides real-time styling and publishing tools, and is intended for manually coding, organizing, or editing HTML, XML and PHP within a single interface. Version 1.1 delivers new project features including a finder and an organizer with custom colors and shapes. A new Snippets engine with TextMate syntax support has also been added to the preferences, helping to improve speed.

Other features include a redesigned workspace that now floats above the files, a new image preview integrated directly into the browser, and more publishing actions.

The company is organizing a Funny Nag Contest that will run until Christmas. Users who create the most humorous demo messages will receive free copies of Espresso.

Espresso is available from the company’s website for $90 and requires Mac OS X 10.5.8 or higher.
