Move around space and absorb other motes
Hemisphere Games and Macgamestore.com have announced a Mac version of the indie game Osmos. The software features physics-based gameplay and allows players to take control of a mote that must grow by absorbing other motes. Players propel themselves and move around space by ejecting matter behind them, however, by doing so, the mote loses mass and becomes more vulnerable. Players will interact with attractors, repulsors, and other intelligent motes with similar abilities and goals.
The Mac version brings the number of levels up to 47 while providing new challenges, level types, achievements, puzzles and unlockable bonus content. A procedural-generation feature allows users to play random versions of any level, while the game soundtrack has been composed by artists such as Loscil and Julien Neto.
Osmos requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher and can be downloaded from Macgamestore.com for $10.
