Faster search results for flights, hotels, rentals

The travel search company Kayak has released an update to its self-titled iPhone app. Version 2.0 features a revamped desktop-style navigation system, along with a trip management utility that can be used to consolidate flights, hotels, car rentals, maps, and other events into a common itinerary.

The company improved the flight, hotel, and car search design, which now integrates a scrollable calendar. Users can take advantage of new search options and filters, while the performance has been enhanced to bring faster search results.

Kayak 2.0 is now available for the iPhone and iPod touch as a free download from the App Store. The company also offers a First Class variant that can be purchased for $4 and provides additional information for first- and business-class fares.
