updated 04:10 pm EST, Thu December 10, 2009

Accesses Windows or Linux desktops from a Mac

Virtual Bridges has released Verde 3.0, the latest version of its virtual desktop infrastructure utility. The program lets users access the same desktop environment from anywhere a network connection is available. Version 3.0 adds support for Mac clients, enabling access to either Windows or Linux guest sessions.

Other new features include VoIP integration, protocol enhancements, and support for the Verde Cloud Branch, which replicates centrally-managed gold master images at remote sites. The management interface has also been improved to enable access from any endpoint, such an iPhone, BlackBerry or other handheld device.

The software is priced at approximately $200 per user and includes the VDI software, server hardware and user storage.
