New version has auto filing, updated interface

Ironic Software has released an update to its document management software, Yep 2.0. The utility provides document organization tools geared for small businesses and individuals. Users can also create new documents by simply dragging text into the interface. Yep supports tagging and works independently of a database, using the Mac's Spotlight, Quick Look and Time Machine technologies to track documents regardless of their specific location.

Version 2.0 adds a scanning feature which produces optimized, 300dpi PDFs. Auto filing is also new, allowing printable documents to be filed by date and tagged for further organization. The interface has been revamped and streamlined, while additional support has been extended for Leopard- and Snow Leopard-specific features.

Yep 2.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5.7 or higher and can be purchased alone for $40. Ironic also offers package discounts when Yep is paired with the company's other software titles.
