PDF2Office Professional v5.0 released

Recosoft has announced PDF2Office Professional v5.0 for the Mac. The PDF converter tool can recreate PDF documents in Microsoft's Word as well as PowerPoint and RTF, retaining the construction and layout of the original. It retains paragraphs, applies styles and regroups graphic elements. It also extracts images and creates tables. All the formatting conversion is done automatically, requiring nothing of the user.

Version 5.0 adds Excel conversion, replicating pages as spreadsheets, and allowing user options for cell formatting and worksheet composition. Snow Leopard support also arrives in v5.0 and native Office formats, .docx, .pptx and .xlsx, are now supported.

Requirements have not been announced -- version 4.0's requirements were Mac OS X 10.3.9 and higher. The new version ships in January for $130 with academic pricing also available.
