Also introduces new sorting options
ToThePoint has launched an update of its font organizing software, Font Sleuth 2.0. The software groups fonts by customized criteria, and presents WYSIWYG results in a viewer window. Each font can be previewed using sample texts, sizes, colors and alignments. Lists of fonts can be saved and printed.
Version 2.0 adds new viewer and display windows, with a groups list for the former. Search has been improved, and fonts can now be shown in Finder. When sorting, the software can jump to fonts alphabetically, and in lists toggle bold and/or italic versions of fonts. It also adds new copy, paste and drag-and-drop options for moving text.
Font Sleuth 2.0 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher. The price is currently listed at $12, but is expected to rise to $15.
