Six plug-ins provided for Photoshop
onOne has launched Plug-in Suite 5, a collection of six Photoshop utilities geared for photographers. The package includes full versions of FocalPoint 2, PhotoTune 3, PhotoFrame 4.5, PhotoTools 2.5, Genuine Fractals 6, and MaskPro 4. FocalPoint provides tools for adding depth-of-field and selective focus controls to images. The latest version integrates a blur algorithm that can be customized to achieve a desired look.
PhotoTune 3 can be used to improve the dynamic range, color, and sharpness of images to make them more true-to-life. A Wizard utility can be used to quickly adjust color and tone, while SkinTune offers one-click portrait correction.
PhotoFrame 4.5 Professional Edition provides a variety of frames, backgrounds, textures and layouts. Over one thousand design elements are included, with content provided by NAPP's Cory Barker and photographer Kersti Malvre.
PhotoTools 2.5 Professional Edition allows users to preview and combine Photoshop Actions from a single interface, with an effect library totaling 280 entries. The MaskingBug utility can be used to create masks to selectively apply to images.
Genuine Fractals 6 Professional Edition is claimed to enlarge images by up to 1,000 percent without losing sharp edges and image details. The plug-in integrates an automated gallery wrap and output options for tiling large images.
MaskPro 4 uses a color-based method that is claimed to quickly remove backgrounds from images. The utility features 'color decontamination' technology designed to maintain transparency in details such as hair, smoke, or glass.
Plug-in Suite 5 is now available to new users for $600, while users of the previous version can upgrade for $200. The plug-ins require Mac OS X 10.5 or higher, along with Photoshop CS2, CS3 or CS4.
