Stores and shares photos, images and data files

Stardom has introduced the Safe Capsule, a RAID 1 storage system designed for use with Apple’s Time Capsule. The device enables users to add up to 2TB of network storage for keeping backups, photos, music or other data files. The drives are configured as a RAID 1 array which mirrors the disks to protect against data loss if one drive fails. Safe Capsule also provides an auto-rebuild function to automatically rebuild the data after a hard drive fails. The rebuild status can be quickly viewed using an LED indicator.

The storage system connects via USB, for transfer speeds of up to 480Mb/s, and can be configured with two drives running independently, bringing the total storage capacity up to 4TB. An integrated three-port USB hub can be used to connect other devices, while stored data can be shared through either a wireless or Ethernet network. It supports a range of electronic equipment including flash drives, printers, or other USB-powered products.

Lastly, Safe Capsule provides a built-in 6cm cooling fan and internal power supply, eliminating the need for an external AC adapter.

Safe Capsule is scheduled for release sometime this winter, however the company is currently accepting pre-orders.

Safe Capsule + Air Port Extreme + Apple TV + iPhon

I just place an order for an 4TB version from www.timelinedigitalinc.com
I can't wait to connect my Apple TV, Air Port Extreme, Mac mini and iPhone to the Safe Capsule.
I have so many music, video, and photos, this sounds like the perfect solution for me.
