Automates batch media processing

Extensis has introduced Portfolio NetMediaMAX, an add-on for Portfolio Server 9. The app allows users to automate media processing in high-volume environments. Templates are provided for a variety of common batch operations, such as file resizing and format conversion.

The software uses MediaScript, a standards-based scripting language that enables workflow customization, as well distributing tasks across multiple servers for increased performance. Some automatable tasks include colorizing, resizing, transferring assets and updating metadata. Users can also publish content to a web portal.

NetMediaMAX supports formats such as TIFF, JPEG, GIF, BMP, PDF and EPS, and is available in English, French, German and Japanese. It works with Mac OS X 10.5.7 or later, and normally costs $2,965. A special NetMediaMAX bundle costs $9,162 and includes Portfolio Server 9 with support for three clients.
