Boosts rewrapping speed

Divergent Media has released an update to its M2T/MTS batch converter, ClipWrap 2.0. The program converts HDV or AVCHD files into QuickTime movies that can be used with any QuickTime-based application. Features in v2.0 include enhanced speed when rewrapping files, as well as additional format support.

Files can now be transcoded from the native HDV codec into ProRes, Apple Intermediate or DVCProHD formats, providing support for movie editing apps such as iMovie, Final Cut Express and Avid. ClipWrap is compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, and costs $50 new. A $20 upgrade is available for all current users, and a free trial can be found on the company's website.
