Lenovo ships IdeaPad in the US

Lenovo has began offering its 11.6-inch IdeaPad U150 notebooks in the US. Available in two models, the PCs use CULV processors and run the 64-bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium along with an integrated Intel GMA 4500 graphics chipset. They also share an 11.6-inch, 1366x768 resolution display.

The base model gets a 1.3GHz Pentium dual-core CPU, while the higher-end model replaces it with a 1.3GHz Core 2 Duo that carries extra cache. The entry version gets 3GB of RAM, with the better one increasing that to 4GB. At the same time, the base model's 250GB of hard drive space is replaced by a 320GB drive in the higher-end model. The last main difference is the use of a Broadcom 802.11g Wi-Fi chipset in the standard model while the flagship U150 gets an Intel 802.11n link. Six-cell batteries power either device.

The base IdeaPad U150 costs $699, while the higher-end version costs $849. [via Netbooked]
