updated 11:15 pm EST, Mon November 9, 2009

QiuckTime interface adjustments added to 4.6

Maintain has launched a new update to its maintenance utility, releasing Cocktail 4.6. The software runs maintenance scripts, such as Unix, with a user-friendly interface. It can run daily, weekly and monthly scripts, repair permissions, set journaling for disks and force empty the trash, among other features. Users can also clean cache files and clear Trojan horses.

Version 4.6 adds support for Snow Leopard and a number of QuickTime interface customization options, enabling features such as autopsy, subtitles and simultaneous recordings. Also new is the ability to clear data detector caches and QuickLook caches.

Cocktail is available in Tiger, Leopard and the new v4.6 release for Snow Leopard. Single-user licenses are $15, family licenses are $30 and other larger packages are available.
