5.0 adds drag-and-drop capabilities

Servoy has launched an update to its hybrid SaaS software, Servoy. Version 5.0 can run on dedicated servers or in a cloud-based operation, with the ability to handle both SaaS and Back hybrid applications from a single codebase. It offers real-time clustering and support for load balancing, including geographic load balancing and fail over.

Also new is drag-and-drop support for labels, fields, image buttons and rows of data; essentially any object is now drag-and-drop and drag-over aware. Servoy has also added a run-time form editor, allowing for layout changes that carry over across sessions.

Version 5.0 will ship November 11. It will cost $850 for a single seat license with multi-core and concurrent licenses also available.
