Enables cross-platform remote access
Citrix says it has opened up public beta entries for GoToMyPC for the Mac. Long a Windows-only service, Mac owners should now likewise be able to remotely access files, programs and network connections on a distant computer. The addition of Mac support means that users can also handle cross-platform access, connecting from a Mac to a PC or vice versa.
Mac service is free during the beta period, but limited to one remote computer. There is also no indication of when the beta will end, or how final pricing will be structured. The Mac client software is compatible with both PowerPC and Intel Macs.

I *THINK* GotoMyPC uses a relay server system which would be more secure.

GoToMyPC allows you to access any machine through a browser without requiring you to open ports on your router or modify your firewall. More convenient than ARD for a lot of people. i've been using it on the PC for a few years and love it.

This works most of the time for me, as well as screen sharing for iChat.. but I am wondering if this is able to bypass firewalls. This has been an issue for me in the past with ARD and iChat with a few clients.
