Schiller: No more major Apple product releases in 2009

Statement may disappoint observers
The Apple holiday lineup is "set" for 2009, according to the company's senior VP for worldwide marketing, Phil Schiller. The company recently introduced a unibody MacBook, updated iMacs and a multi-touch mouse. In response to questions about the products however, Schiller is said to have implied that no other major releases can be expected before the end of the year.
Although little time is now left before the holiday shopping season, some analysts had expressed hopes that Apple would release fall updates for various products, such as the Apple TV. The set-top has not been seen any hardware changes since 2007, and lacks features common to 2009 rivals, like true 1080p output. It has also been suggested that the company is working on a camera-equipped iPod touch, which may have just missed an intended September release date. Sources have hinted that it could arrive before Apple's next major iPod refresh, anticipated in September 2010.

Waiting for the next Apple TV...
If this is true, sad to say I won't be getting an Apple TV soon :(
