Google Wave gets web, desktop app sales

Google at a user group meeting in London late Monday revealed that Google Wave will have its own app store. The real-time communication and sharing tool already has a programming kit for add-in features but will eventually have a central location to buy apps that extend its feature. As Wave is primarily web-based, many apps will live there, but its support for non-web use would allow native apps for specific platforms.

The store would likely take a similar business model to a platform like Android Market or the iPhone App Store and split revenue between developers and Google.

Wave has been positioned as an alternative to e-mail that lets users both talk to each other as well as send photos or other media, with multi-user editing for text and other documents that allow it. Developers have already shown that it can be used for audio and video conversation and other media-intensive tasks. Mobile use so far has been largely limited to web apps optimized for the iPhone and similar platforms. [via The Next Web]

    Google Wave App

Google Wave App Store puede ser la mejor manera de lograr adopción de un servicio que es muy interesante, al que todos quieren probar, pero que una vez dentro sólo ven tres columnas vacias y nadie online para probar. Via: The Next Web
