Will help open new shopping complex
Apple is set to open a second Scottish Apple Store on October 29th, in the northern city of Aberdeen. As with a recent Welsh store opening, the Aberdeen launch is unusual in that it is occurring mid-week, and at a time other than 10AM. Hours are expected to run from 12PM to 8PM on opening day, before switching to a regular start time of 9AM.
Typical Saturday hours will cut short at 7PM, while Sunday hours are set to fall between 11AM and 5PM. The shop is one of the initial attractions of the new Union Square shopping complex, valued at £250 million and home to over 60 stores and restaurants, as well as a hotel and movie theater. Two workshops are already scheduled for the Apple Store: one on Halloween introducing Macs, and another on November 1st demonstrating the iPhone 3GS.

Great news that we're getting a second store in Scotland, but it's a bit baffling that there's still no Apple Store here in Edinburgh...
... Hopefully Apple are just biding their time. Scottish flagship store on Princes Street in 2011?
