Graphing app updated with slew of new functions

Gigawiz has released an update to its graphic application, Citrin. Version 2 adds a range of new features including an "X-zooming" tool that allows users to walk through hierarchies of data in both directions. The feature prevents the exclusion of data from being a visual effect, as the content is not sent through the visualization pipeline.

The visualization interface can now be used to create color themes that are stored as part of the global parameters. Users can access the color themes from any viewer.

Ternary scatter charts have been improved with options to display error regions or display the plot clockwise or counterclockwise. The developer has also revamped and expanded other functions including polar charts, heatmaps, waterfall charts, bubble charts, area charts, combiniations, diagrams, and more.

The software now supports additional formats for data input, such as dBase II, III or IV. Users can also hot-link properties to worksheet columns, while cells can now be addressed explicitly.

Citrin 2 is available directly from the company for $525 for commercial end-users, while educational users can purchase a license for $375. Corporate upgrades from v1.x are available for $405, with educational upgrades priced at $255.
