Chronos has launched SOHO Notes 8 and Organizer 8, each with completely rewritten core engines. Notes is a notetaking app that can capture, organize, share and sync material such as text, images, PDFs, voice recordings and web archives. Organizer combines Notes and Print Essentials into a suite that also manages tasks, calendars and contacts.

Notes 8 is said to sport much faster performance, sync with an iPhone app over Wi-Fi, and voice, video and photo recording. Also present are Cover Flow and Icon views, along with new backup and encryption systems. Organizer 8 likewise gains speed and recording enhancements, but further adds desktop calendar and e-mail integration, and a print preview. Themes can be used for calendar customization.

Notes 8 is $40, while Organizer 8 is $100. Family pack licenses are available. Both titles require Mac OS X 10.5.2 or higher.
