Adds Snow Leopard, Windows 7 support

Extensis has released v2.1 of Universal Type Server, the company's font management software. Users can centrally control libraries and permissions, determining which fonts are used and by whom. The program also auto-activates fonts for Adobe and Quark utilities, while checking for corruption issues.

Version 2.1 is now compatible with Windows 7 and Snow Leopard, in terms of both client and server code. Completely new are a command line scripting tool, allowing automation and integration, and an optional MySQL module for the Professional edition. Various general improvements include simpler network passwords, support for TrueType Collection fonts, and better user management. Administrators have been given the ability to track and undo font additions, or exclude individuals from distribution group mappings.

Mac clients require Mac OS X 10.4.11 and a 1.6GHz processor. Servers must be running Mac OS X Server 10.5 or later, on a 1.6GHz Intel machine with 1GB of RAM. Administrators further require Safari 3.0 or Firefox 3.0, with Flash Player 10. Prices must be obtained through Extensis.
