KnowledgeMiner (yX) 2.0 for Excel adds 64-bit support

updated 04:25 pm EDT, Mon October 19, 2009

Improves computation speeds

KnowledgeMiner has released v2.0 of KnowledgeMiner (yX) for Excel, a data mining tool. The software scrutinizes Excel spreadsheets for patterns, highlighting trends in a more explicit fashion. It can also use data to generate predictions based on algorithms. Among the new features in v2.0 is support for 64-bit processing, which accelerates computations by scaling to the number of cores present on a Mac.

High-dimensional modeling scales between very small and large sets of samples and inputs, without the need for prior variables selection. New noise immunity and model evaluation tools are present, and the software now includes a climate change project, demonstrating projected temperatures using air and sea surface figures. A complete package with KnowledgeMiner (yX) for Excel costs $1,500; an upgrade from (yX) 1.0 is free.
