e-on software has announced its upcoming Vue 8 product line consisting of CG Professionals, 3D Artists and 3D Enthusiasts software packages. Vue 8 for CG Professionals consists of the Infinite and xStream app, and delivers tools creating realistic digital natural environments. With Vue 8 for 3D Atrists users receive Vue 8 Esprit, Studio and Complete, which enables developing of 3D digital nature scenery and landscapes, and has the new Vue 8 Studio software packing features that resemble what’s found in Vue 7 Pro Studio. Lastly, Vue 8 for 3D Enthusiasts includes Vue 8 Pioneer & T-Packs and Frontier software, allowing for science nature creation.
Vue 8 delivers a series of new features for 3D graphic designers including terrain and scene context sculpting, additional stratifield and terrain functions, and a new directional displacement engine for increased performance and more life-like surface features. Other changes provide enhancements to the quality and realism of clouds or atmospheric shadows, and deliver greater sculpting control by enabling localized infinite and procedural terrain sculpting.
The new software offers more integration with CG applications, including support for Maya 2010, Cinema4D R11.5, Softimage 2010, and V-Ray for Maya.
Finally, users can expect a new preview engine for enhanced real-time performance, as well as new features for re-posing both rigged and pre-animated objects within the program.
Vue 8 is scheduled for release this year in the first week of November, but is currently available for users of Vue xStream or Vue Infinite under maintenance --who can receive the upgrade free of charge. E-on software is also offering a 30-day maintenance plan for new users who purchase Vue 7.5.
