Update enhanced camera support, test shot features
D-Zed Software has released v2.0 of its stop motion application, Dragon Stop Motion. The program controls digital still and HD cameras for shooting single frame animation and effects. The latest version adds a newly designed Nav-Line for easier scene navigation and improved time-lapse capabilities. Frame editing is accessible from both the Nav-Line as well as the X-Sheet and the app utilizes 64-bit processing.
Version 2.0 also includes high-resolution playback of animation sequences, enhanced test shot features, and integration with motion control rigs that meet industry standards. The update additionally enhances the apps camera support, integrating HDV capturing, Olympus camera support, and folder watching for unsupported cameras.
The utility includes a Stop Motion Controller that features a 10-foot long USB cable and a USB keypad for controlling the application. Dragon Stop Motion 2.0 requires Mac OS X 10.4.7 and QuickTime 7.2 and can be purchased online for $275. The Dragon Controller can be purchased separately for $30.
