X3: Terran Contact sends gamers to Earth in 2938

New X Universe game adds new ships, weapons
Virtual Programming has launched X3: Terran Contact, a space exploration game in the X Universe series. Players can choose from a number of unique characters and plotlines. The virtual world, set in the year 2938, features multiple races of beings, wealth accumulation, spaceship building and solar system exploration.
The game offers a chance to rediscover Earth from the perspective of a visiting faction. A new faction, the Terrans, has also been added to the Earth environment. There are over 100 new spaceships, with new ship classes and additional weapons.
X3: Terran Contact requires Mac OS X 10.5.7 or higher and hardware specs matching or exceeding a 2.16GHz Intel CPU, 1GB of RAM and a GeForce 8600 or Radeon X1600 video card with 256MB of VRAM. It is now available for $40.
