EA confirms Rock Band iPhone, publishes details

updated 05:10 pm EDT, Thu October 8, 2009

Limited to touch input

After having earlier teased the title, EA Mobile is now sharing more details on the gameplay in Rock Band iPhone. The game's multiplayer mode allows sending out invitations through Facebook Connect, and as in the console series, players can assume responsibility for vocals, drums, bass or lead guitar. Vocals are not sung into a mic, but rather tapped out like any other instrument.

The game's setlist includes 20 tracks (see below), five of which must be unlocked in World Tour mode. Extra tracks will be available for purchase after the game's release, which should happen sometime in mid-October.
