SyncMate 2.4 update
Eltima has launched SyncMate 2.4, an update to its data synchronization app that can be used to sync information between Macs, Windows Mobile devices and smartphones. The new version adds support for Windows PCs, the Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) and USB flash drives. By synchronizing a Mac with a Windows PC, user can transfer and update a variety of content including contacts, calendar entries, folders, Mail messages and Entourage Notes. Several different sync methods are available, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB and Ethernet.
The software can now be used to sync Address Book contacts, iTunes media and iPhoto files between a Mac and Sony's PSP. The flash drive support enables syncing of music, images or separate folders, while allowing users to create a backup copy stored on the desktop system.
SyncMate is compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, with a free version limited to Contacts and iCal synchronization. For $40, customers can upgrade to the Expert edition which supports the full range of sync capabilities.

Er...
Yes, just discovered these features after upgrading. Includes recognition of iPod shuffle too.
Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to tell SyncMate *not* to start up every time I connect a USB device: there's nothing under preferences and I don't want to finish setting up the connection in case it messes with my shuffle in some way.
So a nice feature that's nonetheless also a PITA.
