Echofon for Mac syncs unread tweets with iPhone app

updated 05:35 pm EDT, Tue September 29, 2009

Program built for Twitter

Naan Studio has released a public beta of its Echofon desktop app for Mac systems. The software works in conjunction with the company's Echofon Pro app for the iPhone and iPod touch, allowing users to sync unread tweets between their mobile device and computer.

The interface is designed to be simple and straightforward, with a browser-like drawer that provides access to the timeline and information on other users. Photo posting can be initiated by simply dragging an image into the Echofon window to attach it to a Tweet.

Echofon for Mac is currently free while it is in the beta stage of development. Initially the software will only work with Echofon Pro, although the company plans to extend support to the free app in the future.
