Workgroups 2010 upgrade

MetaCommunications has released a new version of its management software suite for marketing, publishing and print businesses, Workgroups 2010. The upgrade delivers hundreds of new features including a document organizer and a browser-based proofing tool, along with a community website for users, workgroups developers and administrators. With the new document proofing tool users can create or view comments on PDF documents and image files as part of a review, as well as open a proof review session from system-generated e-mails.

The document organizer offers drag-and-drop capabilities with files, e-mails or scanned documents directly into the program, and will automatically copy or move the data to the correct location within the file server. This feature is designed to help users organize files more efficiently, eliminating the need to navigate through the file system.

By adding a Developer Center community website users can interact with each-other and make uses of the resource exchange function to help share ideas and pre-built forms. With the entire package users get four different apps in total, including the companies Virtual Ticket, Approval Manager, Job Manager, and Digital Storage Manager.

Workgroups 2010 is available as a free upgrade for users who participated in the Meta Assurance support and upgrade program, or priced at $7,200 for new users purchasing the complete package. Users can also purchase the apps individually with prices ranging from $1,600 to $4,000.
